OUR CORE VALUES
OUR APPROACH AND MOTIVE FOR MINISTRY
HEBREWS 2:1 – Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
CHRIST AT THE CENTER
The Lordship of Jesus Christ. He must be the center of our purpose. He must be the center of our worship. He must be the center of our preaching and teaching. He must be the center of our ministry. He must be the center of our outreach. He must be the center of our relationships. He must be the center of our loving and our living. – Ephesians 1:22-23
EXTRAVAGANT FAITH
To fully believe and trust God in all we do and in all He asks us to do. That God speaks to us, gives us direction and will lead us in successful results and provision. – Hebrews 11: 1 & 6
TRANSFORMATION, NOT JUST INFORMATION
To help Christians become mature Disciples of Christ, that are compassionate and bold. To build believers into the image of Christ, so that we are a people of healing, boldness, wholeness, and righteousness. We believe in the authority of the written Word of God and indoctrinal purity. – Hebrews 4:12-16
ATMOSPHERE OF LOVE
Everyone is valuable and valued. Each person is to be treated with the same grace that Jesus abundantly expresses to us. To be a church where lifelong friends are made. Where we become a family, connected to one another and that can always enlarge our circle of love. We are committed to authentic community. – John 13:35
THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE SPIRIT
We are committed to the full supernatural equipping of the Holy Spirit to lead us in life and in ministry, realizing that apart from Him we are unable to do anything of significant eternal value. We expect the miraculous and supernatural to be a normal experience in the personal and corporate life of the church. – Acts 1:8, Luke 4:18-19, John 15:5
HEALTH, NOT JUST GROWTH
Healthy organisms grow naturally. Saved, healed, restored, and empowered servant leaders will naturally reproduce the life of God in others. – Acts 2:46-47
STEWARDSHIP
Our resources are to be used for eternal purposes. This includes our spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, time and finances. Matthew 6:20-21a
Creativity – The method not message is sacred. We should seek to use all God honoring methods to communicate the timeless message of the Word of God. – 1 Corinthians 9:22b
COMPASSIONATE MINISTRY
Reaching and touching the lives beyond the four walls of the physical church building. Meeting genuine needs or hurts to restore each person and love them to Christ. – Matthew 9:36-38, Matthew 25:40
EXCELLENCE IN MINISTRY
Everything we do should be done well and to the best of or abilities. Excellence honors God, reflects His character and inspires people. We will be accountable, pay attention to details and refuse to accept just “good enough”. – 1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23
