Pastor Marvin Nemitz discusses the Bible and how it applies to today's culture and living for God in our world. Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like you don't belong? Have you ever wrestled with God about who you are? Have you ever felt like you were not enough? I think all of us have been there at one point or another. It is actually a fundamental battle that all people must come to grips with. Today fraud, specifically identity fraud is rampant. People impersonating others. Pretending to be something or someone that they are not, in order to get things from people they have no business having. People who are honest and who have integrity would never think of doing such a thing. This is why feeling like an imposter in your own life is such a deep routed issue. Jacob struggled with this throughout his life until one key defining moment. There is a moment for all of us, that moment when we really find out who we are. The moment we wrestle with God and decide we will not let go no matter how long it takes and how much it hurts. We know that the pain of change is worth more than the pain of staying the same. Jacob said - ”I will not let go until you bless me.” This is when God gave him the ultimate identity change. He was never the same. He never walked the same. But it was worth it.
